Declan Peach is the chief organiser and co-founder of Game Workers Unite UK, the organisation that’s the focus of this documentary. I’d spoken to him a few months prior in August, alongside Marijam Didžgalvytė – who I’ll also be speaking to – and Jamie Woodcock. From that initial interview and from discussions since then, I’ve built up a lot of rapport with Declan, and our interview went very smoothly as a result.
He’s dedicated to his cause, but he doesn’t take life too seriously. He was very honest and earnest with me throughout the whole discussion, and I think it’s definitely important for me to show that in the documentary. Here’s an extended version of the interview, something I’ll be doing for all three of my interview subjects, as a sort of behind-the-scenes DVD extra.
